
I knew the floor pans were going to need some work as I’d seen them about two years ago while replacing the water-logged carpet that was a result of holes in the rusting cowl, so I started by removing the interior. I was hoping to find that a couple floor pans would need patches but that it would generally be solid.

Unfortunately what I found was enough rust to probably necessitate essentially full replacement of all the foot wells, portions of the kick plates, and the rear seat wells. Bummer, this is not going to be as easy as I was originally hoping.

I’m now thinking that this will likely be a case of a full floor replacement.
