Back home in primer

Today the chassis and associated body panels made their return trip home after being sanded down and covered in epoxy primer.

It’s funny to see everything in primer gray and there’s still sand everywhere but now that it’s back in the garage forward progress can resume. The hand sanding of the large exterior panels revealed some imperfections that had been hidden by body filler, though overall the car continues to appear very straight. I’m glad that most of the metal work will be relegated to areas that aren’t typically visible from the exterior of the vehicle.

The next steps will be to clean everything up and then get the chassis down off of the rotisserie so that I can start cutting out the rust in the trunk area.
