The first thing to do when youโre going to cut out the entire floor of a car is to take every measurement you can think of. The last thing to do is kick yourself after the fact for not taking one specific measurement that seems totally obvious in hindsight.
It was a good floorpan. Shame that it had so many holes in it.
Thankfully the torque boxes on both sides appeared solid so I left them intact.
The seat risers were welded directly to the floorpan, they had to come out first to allow access to the spot welds between the sides of the floorpan and the rocker panels.
I had to switch hit from under the car several times to get better angles for the air chisel.
Rinse and repeat action on the passenger side.
